This weekend is the annual holiday celebration in La Jolla, which has become a tradition for many of us who live in the San Diego/La Jolla area. For 57 years, La Jolla has invited everyone to come and join in the celebration, with thousands of people joining in the fun. This year’s La Jolla Christmas Parade & Holiday Festival will begin at 1:30 pm on Sunday, December 7th. It is an excellent way to bring in the holidays! Some of the events that will be happening include:
Parade, starting on Girard Ave, at 1:30 pm
Games, obstacle course, face painting and many other fun kid activities
Pictures taken with Santa
Exhibits from Birch Aquarium and other arts/educational vendors
Entertainment on stage throughout the festival
The festival will end with the annual lighting of the tree at 5:00 pm, which will then begin another celebration of the 100th anniversary of the La Jolla Recreation Center. It should be a fun day to spend in La Jolla!
