Last with the Museum of Contemporary Art Sand Diego began its exhibit of the Treasures of Tamayo Museum, Mexico City here in La Jolla. The exhibit is a wonderful collection of Rufino Tamayo pieces along with many other artists from around the world. The museum was Tamayo’s contribution to his homeland, to bring recognition to his local Mexican artists as well as the art of the world to them.
The exhibit is a beautiful collage of artists, from Tamayo’s own work to pieces from artists in Latin America, Europe and the U.S. MCASD La Jolla will host the exhibit through the end of August. Take the time this summer to visit this beautiful collection.
It is incredible that such treasures can be found in such a quaint community like La Jolla. It is one of the many factors that differentiates La Jolla from just another beach town in southern California. If you are interested in moving to the San Diego region, let me show you some of the wonderful homes for sale in La Jolla. The sun, sand and culture of this community will amaze you!
