For those who are visiting La Jolla or even long time residents, there is a new way to experience the internationally renowned Stuart Collection at UCSD. Alumnus John VanZandt created a free iPhone application for the collection that gives users a guided tour of the exhibit. VanZandt generously created this app for free, which gives short videos and history of each art piece to create a more enhanced experience for those who want to know more about this famous art collection.
The Stuart Collection is an innovative collaboration between UCSD and the Stuart Foundation, along with support from Friends of the Stuart Collection and many other organizations. The collection contains sculptures and art that are featured on the UCSD campus in a one-of-a-kind outdoor exhibit. The new app gives student, alumni and visitors a new way to experience this amazing collection, allowing iPhone and iPad users to have a self-guided tour of the pieces whenever they choose.
The Stuart Collection is just another great example of the art and culture that those living in La Jolla have right in their own backyard of their luxury homes. La Jolla is known for its long tradition of commitment to the arts as well as being one of the most beautiful coastal communities in California. If you are looking to experience La Jolla living first hand, let me show you the properties that are available right now in this wonderful beach town!
