One of the great benefits of living in La Jolla is the excellent schools and education that is available in this area. However, even in La Jolla, budget cuts have taken their toll on local schools. La Jolla High students and faculty are doing their part to make up the difference through their fundraising efforts through the La Jolla High Foundation. Last year, donation of over $500,000 was donated to help support local school programs and services that are lacking funding from traditional sources.
An ambitious goal of $150,000 has been set for November as the foundation pursues its Fall Giving Campaign, “Conquer The Cuts”. This is a simple fundraising event; just donate and help support the local school. The foundation is accepting donations online at www.LJHS.sandi.net/Foundation so it is easy to show your support with a monetary gift of any size.
The great community and families in La Jolla that generously support one another is what makes this such a great place to live. If you are looking for a La Jolla home for sale to live in this great area, call my office to make an appointment. I look forward to showing you all that La Jolla has to offer!
